Mike Preston, President of Micron Manufacturing Company, has joined the Harmel Academy Board of Trustees. Mike previously served on Harmel’s Advisory Council and contributed to the early formulation of Harmel’s vision.
“Today’s culture, both at work and at home, needs the fullness of truth about the dignity of work,” said Preston, “and I am excited to join the team at Harmel Academy to build skills, character, and faith in the next generation of Catholic tradesmen.”
“We couldn’t be happier to have Mike join the board,” said Harmel president Brian Black. “The Harmel community will benefit profoundly from Mike’s industry knowledge, practical insight, and deep faith. It means a lot to our Academy to have the buy-in from someone of Mike’s caliber.”
A third generation family company, Micron Manufacturing is one of the industry’s most reliable CNC machining companies for precision components, assemblies, and subassemblies. Mike has been at the helm of Micron for 17 years.
He and his wife, Marilyn, have five children and are members of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Grand Rapids, MI.
