We’ve been working on something we think will be of great service to a lot of young men, and we’re mere days from launching it: Foundations of Skilled Stewardship, a new gap-year program at Harmel for men to discern their vocation while learning the basics of seven distinct skilled trades.
The target outcome? A young man with a sense of direction in life, an understanding of his place in God’s plan for the redemption of the world, and a whole host of transferable, manual skills that will serve him his whole life long.
We’re pretty excited about it. But as the video below explains, helping a man find his spiritual path in a material world requires… well.. materials. And so, we’re passing the hat around.
Could you spare a few bucks to buy these guys some metal, lumber, safety equipment, etc? Please know that, while we use these ‘expendables’ to help form our students, what they’ll learn by working with these materials will last well beyond the materials themselves.
Any gift helps, and will be matched up to $50.
And since times are tight, and if you’re not in a position to help financially, know your network is a huge help to us as well. Please share the campaign in your socials. We’ve found word-of-mouth to be huge in helping our school get established, and just sharing our work with your friends is invaluable.
Thanks a ton! We can’t do it without you.
